Copenhagen Summer

Copenhagen Summer

Journal entry — August, long light

The light doesn’t disappear here — not for hours. It lingers. Pauses. Stretches across walls and windows until well past evening. And everything slows.

The days feel wide and open. There’s jasmine on the balcony. Friends drop by without a plan. A bowl of koldskål. A breeze moving through linen curtains.

I light incense not to mask the air, but to mark the time. To bring a softness to the afternoon. In the summer, even hygge changes — it’s barefoot, wind-tousled, sunkissed.

Rituals remain — they just get lighter.
